the problem with maternity clothes

is that they suck!
they're expensive, ugly, and make you feel like a cow no matter how much you weigh.  the problem is that none of these criteria are what i usually use as standards when purchasing clothes.

here is the rundown of what goes through my mind in the dressing room:
will i only wear this for about 5 months - check
does this make my stomach look huge - check
does this make my butt look huge - check
does this t-shirt cost $30 and is a total rip-off - check
perfect!  let's take these up the register right now!

well anyway, i was looking at my maternity wardrobe and decided that there was no way i could wear these same 12 shirts for the next 5 months and i needed to do a little more shopping.  but i decided that something was missing from my collection and i just couldn't put my finger on it.  that is until i came across it at walmart.com -- and can you believe it's only $19!!!

even more shocking than the fabulous deal that these are - is that people have actually bought them!  (and then even rated them on the website - have they no shame!?!  it's bad enough make a fool of yourself in public but must you do it on the internet as well!  one of the women who bought these said in her rating that she got compliments every time she wore them.  and i'm thinking to myself, where exactly does she live...)

  3. Yeah!!! We found you. Now I think if I dig out my pregnancy clothes I could find you a pair of those lovely pants. :0) My aunt loved them and passed them on. I will admit when I hadn't done laundry I did resort to wearing them. Congrats on Residency!
