i promise my life is interesting...

ummm, so i though i should probably update my blog, but the shocking reality is that my life is actually more boring right now than it was when i worked full time!  so you know, i guess i'll try to come up with some things to talk about:

- my grandma offered to make a baby quilt - and she found some adorable pink disney princess fabric!!!  which is fine because then i could sell it on ebay and use the excuse that it got lost in the move (which unfortunately is going to be the fate of some of ben's belongings - and i can say that openly here because i'm pretty sure he doesn't even know "we" have a blog)

- the baby loves cafe rio just as much as i do!  she also loves sugar - which works out great because i eat a lot of it!
(on a side note, i've been scouring the internet looking for cafe rio recipes for when i move to michigan and go into craving withdrawal and inform ben that i will be flying to a state that has cafe rio and i'll be back in a bit.  so far i've found what seem to be pretty good recipes for all the ingredients of a pork burrito - even the tortillas!  i'm pretty sure making those will officially put my status at "domestic goddess" or at least "the average mexican woman who cooks for her family" status)

- speaking of cooking for your family, i can't do that anymore because i accidentally packed the kitchen first!  oops!  and now i at least have some sort of excuse as to why we are eating cereal for dinner......again...

- i'm pretty much convinced that the baby has six fingers on her right hand because in the most recent ultrasound it looks like there's an extra one next to her pinky.  but this isn't nearly as bad as all the hermaphrodite dreams i was having about the baby when ben had a hard time looking for the gender on the ultrasound he did.  moral of the story: don't get ultrasounds...

- so come to find out, moving across the country and having a baby shortly thereafter is kind of expensive and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is considering it.  that being said, being pregnant while packing does have some perks - i can't lift that, i can't re-paint this, i can't use that cleaning product, etc. but it also has some major disadvantages - spontaneously bursting into tears while putting away my favorite jeans that i might never fit into again, hating everything i own and if it wasn't so heavy i'd drag it to the dumpster right now, looking at the 3 boxes that took all morning to pack and deciding that i really do deserve that box of girl scout cookies i've been craving...

well anyway, hopefully the next post will be slightly more interesting and will leave everyone with less of a "wow i just wasted 5 minutes of my life reading this blog post" feeling...

btw, this represents about a week and a half of packing - uhhh, depressing much?
